New Year, new beginnings, happy 2021, welcome to season 3!
It’s the new year, new beginnings! I wish you a happy new year! I’m recording this new episode from a beautiful cabin out in the woods with my family nearby Tremblant. This place is just magical. I hope you had a fantastic time during the holidays. In this new season, I’ll have more guest entrepreneurs. I’ll be happy to chat with creators to innovators coming from everywhere in Canada and beyond, with high expertise in their field. As usual, we’ll talk about steps to success, learnings, productivity, parenting, overcoming challenges and more. During the last season, the community of entrepreneurs has been so generous in sharing all these bits for you, and I, to grow together. I like to say, instead of investing in an MBA after my master’s degree, I chose people. Learning from people is better than anything. You get to hear real stories, challenges, successes. And, I love that.
Holidays introspection
During the holidays, I valued so much this time off to reflect on different things. Me as woman, a mom and spouse and how I can grow and spend more time with my family. Despite the current challenging time that we are First, this break was essential for me to recharge, did you get to take some time off to recharge as well? I mean that was important to take it slowwwww. I mean,I’ll admit that work was intense during the previous season and overwhelming. Everything happens for a reason, and it certainly paid off with growth and more but time was at stake. And, I didn’t see myself sliding into a crazy work week routine that was extremely busy. Well, I was exhausted. That’s the reason, I chose to take it slower to kick start this fabulous new season of Entrepreneurs In Conversation With Géraldine.
During the much needed break, I decided to pause and reflect on ONE THING, I mean I talked to various guests along the 2020 season of the show, several guests mentioned the book, which is on my reading list. To be honest, I haven’t read it yet I’m about to. But if I were to answer what is the ONE thing I want to focus on this year 2021 is this: more time to work less, be more efficient and generate more revenue. I mean, I’m saying it and writing it to be true to myself and be very intentional in setting this goal for the future. I’m asking you, what is your one thing?
2020 in retrospective: new milestones, growth
If I take you back in my 2020 journey, besides the pandemic impact, my growth has been overall very really interesting, I mean, in 2020 I talked a lot about pivoting, creating new projects, which actually happened. I added different services to my business in beta mode to support entrepreneurs in their digital endeavours to generate leads, improve their online presence and I started my new coaching program Sparklab. All along this year, I had one goal in mind: to serve and help more creators like yourself. I’m pretty proud of it you know, it wasn’t easy, I had to step out of my comfort zone, I made a massive 5 figures investment in myself. Things happened, I now reach a steady 6 figure yearly revenue but getting there wasn’t easy. I had to get out of my comfort zone, invest more, work with more people and even sometimes wasted some budget due to mistakes, I mean learnings.
When you look at 2020, what are you the most proud of? Or grateful for?
Spending more time with my family, my son and husband but not enough to my taste. I think I can do more and better. Seeing growth in my business and learning so many lessons.
This week was also my birthday, I got to celebrate with them in this beautiful cabine.
In retrospect, 2020 was definitely interesting. What about you guys? Where are you in your journey, feel free to reach out on social media on Instagram, Linkedin, Facebook or Twitter @geraldinejippe to tell me more.
