Welcome to another episode of Entrepreneurs in Conversation with Geraldine. In today’s episode, we would be talking about a very important part in the life of entrepreneurs: Planning. Not just any planning but Planning 2022 with a Slowpreneur. To some of you it might seem early, but it the end of the year is near and planning in advance is a great way to have a clear vision on the things you want to start working on. And why not make your dreams come true.
The importance of planning ahead
Time flies! Just like you, i understand that our busy day-to-day life takes all our time. That’s why i wanted to talk about the importance of planning. It is interesting to plan ahead and just make sure that we keep on focusing on what we do best and what we love.
Making time for your family
The first thing i put on my agenda is making some time available in my calendar for my family. I’m pretty sure that if there are parents listening to the show today you might relate because there’s so much to do and as the the future is still uncertain to some extent so you don’t you just want to make sure that you care enough time for Yourself and your loved ones.
I spoke about it in the season 2 of ECG podcast, I think what was different from me in 2021 was that I put my family at the center of all my business decision to make sure that I address work with the right pace, the right rhythm and the right direction as well.

Give time to yourself
I also made sure to schedule some me time too, for me me as a person not only a mother or a wife but me as a human being that likes to Workout, play the harp music and you know sometimes spend some time on my own in the forest. (Yes I do that) All these elements need to be organized and structured to make sure that everything fits together.
Instead of starting 2022 with a mindset of growth in terms of clients, take the time to work on yourself, on what’s important for you as a human being as a part a member of a community. What is essential for you. In terms of growth in terms of getting to that level of maturity that you need to bloom, as simple as that.
Systems and processes
As you know, I’m the queen of systems. I cannot do anything basically without any systems or structure. Whatever storm awaits for me in 2022, i still have some framework to help me through it. 2022 is about strengthening all the assets and core resources that I’ve been working with and the systems that I’ve been putting in place. adapt to address making sure that I’m working with the right systems the right softwares and also finding the right resources in terms of my team. My team has been growing over the last couple of years and it’s not an easy thing. I will be sharing more about it in another episode.
Take time to reflect
Look at what is the main priority for your Business and for yourself.
Go back to your basics, the reason you started it all. Your learning curve has been impacted by different things from your personal to global economy and even more so take that into consideration and just reflect. Reflecting is also about thinking of ways to support better some of my customers, my team and ways to grow economically too.

Notebooks
Notebooks are essential for planning. I love this notebook that is rechargeable that is very handy that you can shop here. I like to write down all the fields that i have to take in consideration from the time to spend with my loved ones, integrate business related stuff and my dreams for the future.
Training for yourself
In order to make those dreams happen, it is essential to get a proper training for it. I am constantly in a learning process, I think that’s important to consider it and find a guide or mentor that you’re accountable for.
Re-think your Social media use
Numbers are essential but that’s not everything. I like to think: am i at the right place? Can I do something better ? can I invest better in terms of Brand equity. It is something that I believe will be valuable as an asset for my business. Although Social media is key, i have been thinking of the power and impact of social media as well as whether it fits the direction im going for.
